The Friman name is associated with frozen food but they also distribute fresh fish and seafood. Mainly focussed on the restaurant industry, its sells its products throughout Catalonia and to various customers in Aragon, Valencia and the South of France.
It all began in 1969 with a small shop in the centre of Manresa. Friman innovated with its products on offer, and continues to be a pointer in their solutions. Bages is the best place to work from for their market.
A few years ago they only sold to medium and large sized stores but they still continue to sell to them. Due to the trade concentrations of the last two decades they have had to rethink the way forward for Friman, today they are especially aimed at restaurants, hotels and catering companies.
From the Sant Isidre Industrial Estate in Sant Fruitós de Bages, where they changed from the initial 200 m2 in Manresa to more than 25.000m3, Friman coordinates all the logistics operations centrally, serving all of Catalonia. In cases where the distances are bigger, Friman has a logistics branch in Lledia, where thanks to the good communications of the transversal highway, “Crossdocking” logistics is carried out and the areas of Aragon and Lleida are served from there.
Friman is located in a region with an excellent logistics connectivity and highly qualified manpower for the food industry, where the founders of which are originally from Bages. The reasonable cost of industrial land also stands out.
